Syndicated Player Vs The Stand Alone Player

Both the Syndicated Player and the Stand Alone Player can help goviral publishers to monetise their sites however each player is better used in different situations. What may work for the Syndicated Player might not work so well for the Stand Alone.

Editorial

As the Stand Alone Player only displays one campaign it is best used for editorial or contextually relevant placements. Placing a Stand Alone Player within an article can increase views to around 60% and more views means more revenue for Publishers.

Advertising Placements

Although there are many locations on a web page for advertising, the focus is mainly on banner placements. Apart from banner placements, videos can be posted between articles, in the comments section or any spot where is free space. Wherever a Publisher chooses to pu their advertising, it is generally the Syndicated Player which is more suited for these type of placements.

  • Once posted, the Syndicated Player will automate itself, so Publishers won’t have to keep replacing it when campaigns expire, meaning there is zero maintenance and continual revenue.
  • The Syndicated Player shows a range of content increasing the chances that a visitor will be presented with a video that they want to watch.
  • It is geo-targeted meaning Publishers can monetise all traffic outside their country. With the Stand Alone, if a campaign is only open to one country any views from outside that territory will not be credited.
